About Us

We, Bryan and Holley, have been deeply engrained in the thoroughbred racing and sales business for over 40 years.

Bryan began his career as an assistant trainer working for Clyde Rice and D. Wayne Lukas, while Holley pursued a career as a jockey in the Northeast.

Our early careers as assistant trainer, trainer and jockey helped us to find our passion for young horses.

We first based our operation in the Mid-Atlantic region. We focused on buying, training, racing and selling of two-year old’s. As we discovered the emerging market of two-year-old in training sales, we relocated to Ocala.

Woodside Ranch was founded in 1989 to facilitate a concentration on young horse development. Our focus has been on race preparation for our clients and buying and selling for our own account. The continued success of our graduates is the result of our dedication to our clients and the development of their young horses. Attention to detail and a personal touch are our priority.
